One person, a few apps, and a habit of writing down whatever took too long.

McMizzle is Kevin McMahon. Everything on this site — the apps, the printed geometry, the write-ups — is built by one person, which is worth knowing mostly because it tells you what to expect from the support inbox: a reply from whoever wrote the bug.

The apps

AmbientCast puts a Bambu Lab printer's live camera feed and print status on the Apple TV, and records the timelapse when the print finishes. Calorie Burndown turns what HealthKit already knows into one number — how much room is left today — across iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.

The blog

The write-ups exist because the answers weren't anywhere else. Each one has to clear a single bar: another engineer hits this problem, finds the post, and saves an afternoon. Undocumented platform behavior, hardware that talks back, and bugs whose real cause was three layers away from the symptom all qualify. A tidy release note does not, which is why posts don't appear every week.

They're also written to be found by the person already searching the error message, so the exact log lines are in there on purpose. RSS, if that's still how you read things.

3D printing

Printable geometry authored directly in Python, with no CAD anywhere in the loop, plus the printability checks that catch what a watertight test misses. More on how that works.

What this site doesn't do

No analytics, no cookies, no JavaScript, and nothing loaded from a third party. That's a deliberate choice rather than an oversight, and it does mean there's no way to tell whether any of this is read — a trade worth making. The privacy policy covers both the site and the apps, and it's short for the same reason.
